Great Restraint and Sunday Scones
Hello everyone. I have been photographed quite a few times this week because Mum has a new camera. Not a super duper one but definitely better than the old one. So she has been going around taking pictures of everything and everyone. Anyhoo, on Friday night it was home made pizza night. Everyone has to help and I wanted to help but wasn't allowed. So I just had to look and try not to slobber! I thought I showed great restraint.
P.s. Thought you might like to see my sister, Penny. Cute face aye?
This is me when I was a little fella and still learning. Note Mum's face. He's so cute but I can't let this happen. So I have improved, and Mum says I am a 'good boy' (most of the time).
So to continue on. Sunday, Mum decided to make scones. Why I'm not sure cause she doesn't like to cook (Probably why she used a packet mix, but hey, at least she tried and as I found out, they were really yummy). They turned out like this.
Any guess what one she said I could have? That's right. The tiny little one second from top. Well, I must admit I was feeling hungry after smelling them cook and now I must confess. I tricked Mum. While they were cooling on the bench, she forget for a moment and when she turned around I had licked one of the biggest ones. Woops. I know that was naughty but I just couldn't help myself. Anyway Mum, says BRUCE, NO in a big voice and I backed off quickly. Well, I can hear her talking to the others saying, 'oh well, I may as well give it to him later, because it will go to waste otherwise and in 10 minutes he won't remember where it came from if I give it to him outside. Poor Mum. I think I fooled her. That was my plan all along.
I felt very guilty. Sorry Mum. I have been a naughty boy. I promise to be a 'good boy' as long as I can. Mum doesn't seem to care. She has been giving me big hugs, calling me her 'little man' and life on this wonderful Sunday is fine. So to all out there, hope your weekend was good. See you soon.
No worries, slobbers Bruce.
P.s. Thought you might like to see my sister, Penny. Cute face aye?

Wordless Wednesday (or What The Flamingo!)
Note the hairy little blonde thing in the middle, my sister Kara.
I know this is supposed to be wordless Wednesday, but honestly, I can't help myself. Monday, Mum took Kara for a ride in the car WITHOUT ME. I was left all on my own for hours and hours and hours. Well maybe not that long but I didn't even have a human sibling to keep me company. Anyhoo, home Mum came with a strange little short haired, perfumed, fat thing who came in as if she owned the place. Of course I could not believe it. I had to sniff her bum for a good 10 minutes before I realised it was Kara. She hasn't stopped kidding me ever since and the rest of the family had a good old laugh about it too. What a day! Oh well, no worries, slobbers Bruce. P.S. Mum came home with a good ole meaty bone for me for my birthday. Yummy.
Now, What the Flamingo! Where did the curly hair go?

ITS MY FIRST BIRTHDAY
Hello, well I'm very excited because today is my first birthday. Mum, Dad and I went for a walk first thing along the 'summer track' which is a long dirt road with beautiful views and not many stressful things for me to worry about. Came home, had breakfast and then I waited for my present. And waited. And waited. Well to cut a long story short, I think my breakfast was my present! Mum insists she is getting me some chewy toys tomorrow when she goes to the shops. She's organised as usual. Kara said she is counting backwards on her next birthday.
My friend Tyler came to visit and we had hours of zoomies and bitey face and then I had to have a big sleep to recover. For some reason I really love to sleep but Tyler is much more active so he pokes around waiting for me to wake up.
Some things I have learnt in my first year:
1. To sit and wait (although sometimes I still don't wait long enough)2. Not to be afraid of the lawn mower or the vaccuum cleaner
3. How to walk nicely with Mum and Dad (unless of course I see a scary dog coming and then I must admit I go a bit 'postal').
4. To relax with new people coming to our house.
5. To sit near the table when everyone is eating and not try to eat off their plates (ha ha).
:Some things I want to learn in my next year
1. To be more confident and brave.
2. To learn some tricks and have fun.
3. Not to slobber on the bench top. Alas when I sweep my big lovely face along the bench I always leave a trail of incrimenating slime.
4. To try not to be so 'gassy'. I'm sorry I have to release my excess wind somewhere but the whole family think I do it on purpose just to get the room to myself. As if!
5. My human brother suggested I could learn my seven times tables. Why not, anything is possible, right?
Anyhow, that's it for now. No worries, slobbers Bruce.

My first post. Hi from Bruce.
Hi this is Bruce and his mum doing a test blog. Don't actually know what I'm doing yet. Hopefully will improve but I am a little (or a lot) computer illiterate. This is me about six months old. Handsome little devil aren't I? Just a shame I am a bit of a scardy cat but we are working on this. See you soon, I hope, Slobbers Bruce from Down Under.
